Services Available
Participants will benefit from a range of important medical screening services designed to detect and prevent serious health conditions.
Malaria Testing
Malaria remains one of the most common diseases in Ghana. The screening will include testing to help detect malaria early and provide guidance on treatment and prevention.
Diabetes Screening
Diabetes is a growing health concern worldwide. The screening will measure blood glucose levels to help identify individuals at risk or living with diabetes who may not yet be aware of their condition.
Hypertension (Blood Pressure) Check
High blood pressure, often referred to as the “silent killer,” frequently shows no symptoms until serious complications arise. This screening will help identify individuals with elevated blood pressure levels and provide guidance on managing the condition.
Body Mass Index (BMI) Check
BMI assessment helps determine whether an individual’s weight is within a healthy range. Maintaining a healthy BMI is important for preventing conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and obesity-related complications.
HIV Testing
Confidential HIV testing will be available, along with professional counseling and education. Early detection helps individuals access treatment and live long, healthy lives while preventing transmission.
Hepatitis B and C Screening
Hepatitis infections can lead to serious liver disease if not detected early. This screening will help identify individuals who may require further medical care or monitoring.
Typhoid and H. Pylori Testing
Testing will also be available for Typhoid fever and Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infections, which are common causes of digestive and gastrointestinal health issues.

Why Health Screening Matters
Preventive health screenings play a vital role in improving overall public health. Many serious illnesses develop gradually and may not present symptoms until they become advanced. Early detection allows individuals to receive timely medical intervention, improve health outcomes, and reduce healthcare costs.
By participating in this program, community members can gain valuable insight into their health status and receive guidance from healthcare professionals on maintaining healthier lifestyles.
Community Impact
The Free Health Screening initiative reflects the commitment of Sue Health Foundation and its partners to strengthening healthcare accessibility within local communities. Programs like this not only provide immediate medical support but also raise awareness about preventive healthcare and encourage healthier living habits.
